A few pics from the Deal's Gap Run

Well, nearly everyone bailed out on us so it was a small group. But it was an awesome ride. There was nearly no traffic at all and our second run was completely uninterupted! Plus, the weather was perfect, sunny and 50 degrees. What a blast! I don't think I will be heading back as the road is a bit to tight if your not in something like a CRX or a 125 shifter kart. But it was fun. There are however, far better roads in Georgia for these cars. We will plan another run through north Georgia in March. I think we will have a better trun out with warmer weather and no Super Bowl. Stay tuned.

The RX-8 faired very well against the 360. Lots of fun! And yes, the RX-8 can run equal with the Boxster. Drivers were basically equal. Hope to see you guys next time!

That shot is from the Overlook pull off on the Tail of the Dragon. I went down to Deals Gap last July when the Miata's took over the last weekend of the month. Excellent roads, friendly people, and great weather.

I went in December, lots of fun. My girlfriend and I went at night, which was good, you can see all the oncoming headlights. We came back the long way, through Cherokee, and then stayed in Gatlinburg. The fog was so thick on the way back there were about 5 cars going about 10 mph. Scary with the snow on the sides of the road.
