I have a 2004 RX-8 6 speed MT. Has around 135k. The Grand Touring model, virtually stock besides a K&N replacement filter and honed out cat. I'm active duty in the Navy currently, and she's sitting back at my fathers in PA. He was supposed to keep it running for me while I was gone, but claims it won't start, and ran a compression test on it. His results was that one of the rotors wasn't producing compression. I was having hot start issues with it before I left, and replaced the coils, plugs, wires, etc. Unfortunately I'm still paying on it, so it's a total **** situation on my behalf. Saw this post, and figured it was worth a shot. Payoff currently is like 6800. You can see photos of her on my page

Beautiful car and pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. But the one thing I'm not is the 6800... I understand your side of it tho. Defiantly would be nice to get the payoff balance done with... But I just know that I can spend that much...

I saw a couple local to me with blown motors. I think the guy wanted 2k. I'm in AL. not sure if its worth the drive to you.

Hello,

I am not sure if you found a car yet. If not:

I have a 2004 all leather black and red seats grand touring edition. I am a non-smoker. i have kept the car in pristine shape with oil changes every 3000miles. I also have a set of Bridgestone Blizac winter tires in good shape for it. It only has 49000 miles on it. I've been the only driver. Very recently it stalled while I was driving. Local mechanic just replaced ignition coils, plugs and wires. However a compression test shows that one rotor is blown. I had it towed to local dealer. His compression test confirmed this plus it needs a new catalytic converter.

Mine just blew a motor last week. 2005, pearl white, grand touring (no leather or bose), 56k miles. Otherwise meticulously maintained. It ran like a champ until it decided not to run anymore. Only thing not stock are the black rpf1 wheels and the stereo that i can easily put back to stock. I would happily take 2500

i have a 2004 rx8 grandtouring sport package black leather with the brown 6 speed brand new cat. it runs for about 20 minutes then at lights it dies. theres only 34,000 miles on the 13b motor so i dont know if its bad or not. it was replaced in 2011. just dot have the time to get it fixed or looked at. all stock in great condition. let me know if interested. i live in Oklahoma.
