Modified 2005 Shinka RX-8

Year: 2005
Make: Mazda
Model: RX-8
Price: $16000
Mileage: 41000
Color: Black Cherry Mica
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (US State/Canada/Int): MD

I've been on the forums a long time, and a lot of people know my car. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for it. My car has been modified with the best parts I could research and was built into a 300+ whp turbocharged car. I was not happy with my turbo setup however and about a year ago purchased a Mitsubishi Evo IX and reverted the RX-8 to natural aspiration. Having had a turbocharged RX-8 I can honestly say that I enjoyed the car more naturally aspirated. The bulk of my mods are still on the car, and I don't intend to try and part it out and revert it to stock. I drive it daily with the mods listed below, and am hoping to find a buyer who will love it as much as I have.

I'm selling the car because my wife does not drive stick, and I don't need another sports car. I have four cars right now and I need to clear space to get an SUV to tow the Evo to the track. The car is not your typical, quiet, sedate RX-8. It has a big brake kit, non-resonated exhaust, chrome Enkei rims and shoots fireballs on gear changes once the exhaust heats up. It is VERY loud. Changing the midpipe to a BHR resonated midpipe or re-installing the OEM catalytic converter would go a long way to quieting it down if you want something less shouty. I just want to be very clear, the car is low to the ground, covered in carbon fiber, tinted, and loud... its about as unsubtle as you can get. It draws attention everywhere it goes.

I do have a bunch of the OEM components which I will include with the car. They are noted in parenthesis in the mods below. As far as maintenance: the car has a clean CarFax, has never been in any accidents, has had its oil changed every 3000 miles since I've owned it and I've been using Idemitsu pre-mix for the last 2+ years with every tank of gas, and the car had a clean compression test last year. It's still pulling the same vacuum today as the day I installed the gauges almost two years ago. I've driven a lot of RX-8s and it pulls ridiculously hard for a naturally aspirated car.

Mileage: ~41,000 (I'll double check the odometer today)
Transmission: 6 spd manual
Exterior: Black Cherry Mica
Interior: Parchment Leather

Modifications:

Seibon cf TSII hood (OEM hood included), Seibon cf AE-style rear wing, cf strakes, Tsunami front bumper (OEM bumper included), OEM appearance package, OEM mud guards, HKS Hi-Power single outlet exhaust, Racing Beat catless midpipe (OEM cat included), Lotek gauge pod with Autometer gauges (vacuum, oil temp, water temp), AEM cold air intake, BHR Ignition Upgrade, Cobb Access PORT (MazdaManiac tune included), Federal ZR595 265/35/18 tires, Enkei RPF1 18x9.5 sbc rims, Tein S-tech springs, Racing Brake black monoblock 4-piston front calipers, front & rear slotted 13'' rotors, stainless brake lines, machined OEM rear calipers, new Hawk HP pads, cf shift **** trim, 35% tint, Axial Flow short shifter (OEM shifter included)

This is the chance for someone to have a low mileage special edition RX-8 with $10,000 of top brand modifications at a ridiculously low price. Serious inquiries only, test drives are available in the Columbia MD area. You can contact me via PM or email: apdant@gmail.com

Bump and +1 for my best friend. You will not get steered wrong or shafted with him.

I still remember the original call to let me know that he had just bought it. Sad to see it go.

If I could magically trade in my Rx-8 and had the extra cash to buy that 8, I would.
GLWS, great car.

Heh, thanks for posts guys... sorry, no payments, if you need financing I recommend chatting with your local financial institution.
