The pullies need replacing and the the plastic intake it cracked but the headers are good. The radiator, battery, and the front middle sub frame is bent. The steering penal is shot. Everything else is good to go. Let me know if you have any questions. Looking to sell as whole, but will consider parting out. Need to sell ASAP.

My wife will kill me for even asking, but...how close are you to Charlotte? I'd have no where to store it up here, and the trailering to new england would be pricey anyway, but I happen to own 2 acres northeast of Charlotte....and this is just about perfect as a donor car for my Renesis Miata plans

I bought the car at an auction in Texas with 32K for 8900. Nothing wrong with the car. Unfortunately I decided to drive one night back from a bar after drinking 151, well... I ended up hitting a pole at 50 (knocking it down). Then I decided to run all the way home. Yea, the officier wasn't too happy bout that.
I've decided to never drink again :D guess not all bad came out of this lol

Oof, well, not gonna flame you, because you obviously realize the error of your ways 
I'm trying to see if I can swing this. The price ISN'T too much. The engine alone could be most of that cost. There is probably an easy $4k of salvagable parts in that 8. I had figured on spending ~4-5k for a salvaged 8 as the donor car to rip everything I need out of, parting out the rest, and $2,800 is a great deal for a start on it.
Erg, everything is pointing to me starting the swap NOW!
My Miata's engine blew in May, I replaced it with another, and apparently it was bad too, and will go at any time. I just can't start the swap in RI, and wouldn't be doing much if it's in NC. Almost tempting to just drive the Miata down there, park it on my property, buy your 8 and have it parked next to it, cover and seal them both from animals and weather, and let them sit till I can start it.
Doubt that's very wise though.

Sorry, I just realized that I wrote salvage but not meaning salvage title. I have 100% ownership of this car. And on the damage assessment, the front crossmember is shot. I assumed that you can tell that already from the pic.... :D

Btw not a salvage title- 100% mine!!!
2004 mazda rx-8, 62,000 miles on motor- motor has been replaced by factory for loss of power - also replaced clutch. Everything worked great before the wreck. Great interior, black and silver trim. Front end damage, back driver quarter panel dents. 2,800 o.b.o.
