Winter Frustrations !!

So winters here and many of us, like me, are very picky about keeping our 8s clean. So obviously we have to wash our cars as frequent as possible. I use the touchless wash and sometimes the do It yourself wash for 2 dollars. My question is will the touchless wash from gas stations remove zaino if I wash once a week ? Also will the do it yourself wash remove the zaino as well ?

Lastly I haven't had time or money to get my car rust proofed. I probably will in mid december but I was wondering if I don't do it this year but frequently remove salt by frequent washes if it will still revent rust ? Or will rust proof protect my car unlike washes will ?

Thanks in advance

IIRC, Sal Zaino's said that nothing short of abrasives will take the polish off once properly applied. ie, dawn won't take it off. Time and driving acts like an abrasive, though, so it probably will slowly wear off.

A car wash isn't supposed to be able to remove it. But, I haven't tried, either.

just make sure that you're spraying well underneath your car and in the tire wells! I don't know if touchless washes do that...

i spray the underside of the wheel well lips once a week at the self $3 spray booth thing. You wouldn't believe the dirt and potential salt the gets under there. Trust me...any care gash station car wash can't get up behind that lip.
-i havn't oil sprayed mine either. i was under the car at a buddy's garage, and noticed the bottom of the car is very well coated in rubber sealant from factory. I have sprayed the rear lips and bare steel components with a permanent wax spray from the body shop supply store, it goes on like oil and dries hard and durable. The brand is 'Pro-form' and it comes in a spray can for like 12 bucks. well worth the money.
-Also i sprayed behind the trunk lid, by simply removing the inner cover. My 3rd brake like housing is starting to rust very slighty.
i also cannot stand the winter, so this will be the last year it goes out after Halloween. winter beater time!

*black car in winter= alot of polishing in spring*
