What do I need?

Ok, so I am sick of my car having swirls and I need some products. I went to the Zaino store and was looking at everything they have. What are the best products for the following, and I don't care if it's Zaino or not...
1. Swirl removal
2. car wash
3. polish
4. rim cleaner
5. leather care

Also, anything else that would make my car shine and is not too hard to apply or something that I could potentially screw up and do permanent damage to my car. Bottom line: I just want my car too look good and shine with no swirls. What products do I need?

P.S. I have a black RX-8.

I would recommend either Optimum Compound & Optimum Polish or Poorboys SSR2.5 for removing swirls.

You would benefit HIGHLY from investing in a Porter Cable Orbital Buffer. I ordered mine from Amazon.com for $120. It is a must for removing swirls. Take some time and visit www.autopia.org and familarise yourself with what others use and how the porter cable buffer works. I just started using one on my daytona blue 350Z and it's amazing. It took a little getting use to but it is great. I would also recommend you get a halogen lighting system from lowes or homedepot preferably on a tripot. I found one locally at homedepot for $29.

As far as polishing pads go you will most likely want to get the 7" Propel Pad Sampler Kit w/5" Backing Plate from exceldetail http://www.prestostore.com/cgi-bin/s...etail&ct=29307 BTW, you can get the above polishes I recommended here also.

Wash solution. I like Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo. I buy mine locally at Target for $10 a gallon. Great soap with great lubrication and it suds nicely. You will want to use the 2 bucket wash method. One bucket filled with clean water and the other with your car wash solution. Use a sheepskin mit (you can get them from wal-mart) and do one pannel at a time then throw the mit into the wrinse bucket while you hose down the section you just washed then resoak your mit in the soapy solution etc. Use a seperate mit for the lower part of your car as it gets much dirtier than the top and upper sides of your car.

For cleaning rims I just use a good car brush and the soap I use to clean my car. I don't have any experience with the chemical cleaner type wheel sprays.

Lexol is a good leather care product. I believe it can be bought locally.

I take it you have a wax/sealant your happy with?

Read this before you use any compound to remove the swirls, some less agressive products might help before you go with the compound.
