Pics of homemade headrest pillow insert
This is a different addition to the car.
My significant other was complaining about the discomfort of the seat, not being able to rest her head because of the concave part of the seatback with the plastic rotory in the middle.
So I did what any guy would do, take out some needles and threads, buy some fabric and vinyl, and made a headrest pillow insert.
This pillow fits like a glove and doesn't come off unless I want it to. I also made one of the opening with velcro attachment, so I can add or subtract stuffing as needed.
With this addition, the complaining is gone (about the discomfort only. Complaining about the speed is still there, can't find a mod for that yet =). I thing this looks pretty good too.
I may make a version 2 later with a more rounded top and also use the sewing machine for a more professional look.
Hope you guys like it.

I was wondering when someone would come up with these. Looks good and I'm sure with a machine and a little adjustment of the shape you will have it just right. I'm sure there are plenty of people who's heads end up on the rotor piece who would buy them.

I am a meat popcicle
I never saw this thread before. My wife complains every time she gets in the car with me about the lack of head support there. That's a great idea. I'd buy one if someone was making them (for a reasonable price of course).

Hi everyone.
Thanks for everyone's interest.
I am (actually my passingers) are still using the only one that I made.
I have started taking courses part-time in addition to working full-time, so it doesn't leave much time to do better pillows that I wanted.
The pillow is holding up very well, and still no complaints from my passingers.
I will try to make a few to sell and help my fellow RX8 owners. Looks like there are about 5-10 people interested.
BTW, I don't think the shape and style will change too much from my first one, only difference will be machine sewn. So don't expect any fancy updates, sorry.
Would people be looking to get just one or two for their car?
I will definitely update here when I get a chance to make more of this.
