I think they will look pretty good on an rx8. What color is yours?

i was close but to get those lips you need 20's

Not entirely true, you can go with a low offset 19 and get the same lip. I have a 5inch lip on my rear and no rubbing, But you got to do some work to get em to fit.

how much work? Is it worth it? And if it is worth it, would you go with 19x8.5 all around or would 19 x 8.5 Front 19 x 9.5 Rear be ok?

with Axis, you can still get a 4" lip on 19x9.5" wheels.
