Uh… no. Had he just said "My hood came off" it could mean he took it off himself, or had someone else remove it. But what he said was "Oh Sh**! My hood came off". That could only mean one thing: the hood came off, and he didn't want it to.

Also the picture does not show any damage. Having removed the hood several times, those are giant bolts holding the hood on. And the latch on the front of the hood wouldn't allow it to open and flip back due to the safety.

Used in front of "I won the lotto," "Oh ****" clearly means "wow". Any 4-year old knows that; "Oh ****" in front of what's commonly thought to be a "good thing" is an exclamation of excitement/happiness. But used in front of "my hood came off" (or "my house is on fire," or "my girlfriend left me,") it means "something unexpectedly bad happened."
If the pic indicates the hood was removed by design, then the title of this thread is intentionally misleading—and, in fact, not a neutral sentence that some happen to misinterpret.
