Winter in New England (Finally! lol)
Ahh well us in the New England area (and North East in general) finally got a decent snow storm. Today though its all iced up. I can't even get outa my parking spot never mind up my street. I live on a side of a hill and to get to the main street I have to go up the side of the hill then down it.
So come on people of the New England area and North East in general post your pictures!! lol
What I woke up to see out my window I dreaded both trying to get into my car and starting it.
Where my car is now STUCK, can't move backward or forward. (I have Avon A/S which are pretty much brand new).
And this is what I have to look forward to if I'm able to move the car. The entire street is a pure sheet of ice.

It's not as bad down here near Philly. The streets got some sunshine late yesterday, which melted the salted and plowed areas. When I go home today, I'll take a couple of pics around my house. The ice covered lawn looks pretty cool. I'll even take a pic of my car snuggled nicely in the garage!!

haha, that doesn't look as bad as it was here las night. On the south shore we got maybe an inch like the cape then freezing rain. Last night driving was taking your life in your hands. I had my buddy in his WRX pick me up, who has Blizzak Revo-1s, and we tail whipped going as slowly as possible pulling out of the neighborhood. Snow would've been a lot safer than all that black ice.

I got 10 inches here and had to drive home from work yesterday evening when the snow was coming down at a rate of 2 inches per hour and blowing around in 40 MPH winds. That was fun. The car did great thanks to WinterSport M3's, but keeping the windshield from building up ice was difficult. Heater SUCKS!
Why can't I put it on recirc and defrost at the same time? I know. Because some engineer in the tropics thought, why would you ever try to defog the glass with interior air? Well, maybe if the heater core were large enough to heat the 5 degree farenheight external air on its way to the window, I wouldn't need to use interior air! /endrant
Anyway, loving winter in New England.

That was at 11:30 Wednesday night after 15 hours of snow and you can see it was still coming down... I went out to clean my car off for yesterday morning and dig it out. Still after I cleaned it off, yesterday morning I still had an additional 3-4" of snow to clean off again.
My batmobile is sitting in a nice garage away from all this yucky white stuff.
RX8Maine... I hear ya on the M3's! They were a great tire! I bought my 8 in Feb. 06 and was forced to buy winter tires to get me through the last half of winter. They were awesome! I sold them to a guy in Ontario after I was done with them.

We got about 45 inches in the past 3 days. It is absolutely insane. My 8 is hanging out in the garage with the lawnmower becoming friends. It kind of stinks too since I just got it 01/31/2007.
