Whats up with that Phantom BLUE?!
Hey whats up guys, I'm new to this forum, and very new to the rx-8 scene. Unfortunately I do not own one.. I came here for some opinions/answered questions.. I was driving today and saw a ******* gorgeousssss I think "Phantom Blue" Rx-8. I want to say it was atleast an 05+ and it had black rims, and I completely was in awe. lol... Meanwhile I drive a gti.. with a bigger turbo, and basically it has too much torque steer. It's tornado red, and I'm just getting sick of it.. So if anyone has gone from or to a gti to an rx-8 what are you're thoughts. I'm not sure if any model rx8's come tuhrbo'd or awd. But if I were to get one, I would definitely want awd and turbo, if not they still seem like solid cars. How do they handle, accelerate and corner.
I searched on wiki but I wanted some personal response's.. I got caught driving while suspended a couple months back...(right up the road) So the state troopers in NJ by where I live CONSTANTLY pull me over JUST TO FRIGEN CHECK to make sure everything's good. and I can't stand it or my car anymore.. So i'm seriously considering a change. If you guys could give me any advice, any pro's/con's that'd be really great.
Basically I wanna know how much tunes, coils, any aftermarket stuff typically goes for, is fixing it and maintaining easier or harder on these opposed to a GTI.. and just the overall drive/comfort of the car.. I'm not looking for a super fast car, but something quick, comfortable, not bad on gas, and handle's well.. I've been really looking at Evo's and the Volvo s60r in Sonic Blue.. any input helps!
sorry for the wall of words

No.
Depends on how they are maintained and driven.
You can have yours last 150.000 miles and more or you can trash it after 15.000 miles just by not doing something.
Very well - go for a test drive.
Check the vendor section.
My opinion: Not harder per se (if you know what you're doing), but more time and cost intensive.
Go test drive one - seriously.
Then you will be disappointed.

Car and driver magazine ranked the rx8 in 3rd place in the best handling cars under 100k. It beat the almighty gtr. That should give you an idea and how well these things handle.

that's frigen sweet. Maybe I'll check one out today, but after seeing a bunch of clips I honestly don't know if I can tolerate that sound.. lol but from behind it looks soooooooooooooooooooooooooo gooooooooooood! lowered on nice wheels, I honestly didn't know it could look that good.. I just want something a little more refined and a touch of luxury or some kind of spark on the interior, which I know they offer. I get into my car and I wanna drive it into a pole..
