Vibrating driver side window
Hello all. I have installed a 12" sub woofer in the trunk of my 8 and push over 400 watts through it. It's just what the Bose system needed. However, one slight drawback is that if the driver side window is roled down anywhere from half way to fully retracted it vibrates and can be somewhat annoying.
Even without the sub in, the window vibrated when the system was turned up and it feels loose in general.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and has anyone else modified their stereo system? I have the 6 CD in dash changer.
Thanks, Hoodster

Try turning down the volume...that should reduce the vibration if not eliminate it completely :p Drivers within a 50-yard radius really don't need to hear your favorite music you know :p

400? should have went wif a w7 and 1000 watts, I mean if your gonna vibrate, might as well be everybody =)~
But yea, my window does the same thing, and the window in my integra did the same thing. It's just not supported from all sides, so it vibrates. Where ever you had it done can seal your window for you, and you will not vibrate, but then you won't be able to open it. And if you really pump it, that won't help either.

Killjoy,
Yea, it's not so much the music just the window seems particlulary slack. I'm more curious if many owners had noticed a similar problem. If your like me, music and speed go together pretty good.

MIne does and I just have stock audio. I shoulda mentioned this with the car in the shop but I forgot. It's not a big deal but occasionally annoying. Also, if the window is fully up and I roll it down, it makes a slight rattle as it starts down. It didn't do that when it was new.

8_wannabe,
hey guy, thanks for the input. The window thing does seem a little mickey mouse if you know what I mean. I'm headed to the shop next week and will mention it to them, perhaps they will have a look.
Pics of me and the Bird to come soon as per your request.
