Trunk light stays blinking

2005 rx8 when car is off the trunk light stays blinking in the dash even though trunk is closed. I have open the trunk and recoded and nothing . So any ideas how to fix ? Bad relay or what? Thanks or input

I might learn something new here, but...


I don't think there is a dash light for the trunk.

Where is this light, and what does it look like?

I'll take a pic of it when I can and I don't have te owners manual damn dealer didn't have it but it looks like that security indicator light

Well, since we don't have any dash lights that just "look like another light but aren't it", then that means that it's the security indicator light, which does indeed flash when you aren't in the car, keys out of the ignition.

Atilla I saw it at night and I didn't pay attention so from outside look like dang trunk lol sorry for my stupidity i only it saw it once and that was at night

Yea it was a bad moment plus I had the car for only a few hours and it went back o the dealer the next day and I still don't have my rx8 so can you blame me?
