rx-8 newbie
Well i just bought a brand new 8, 2007 it has 200 miles on it. its the manual trany. any good advice for a newbie to the rx8 club. anything would be great, anything you think I should know. Oh what should i expect for gas mileage if i play nice. whats the top speed? thanks guys!

All good questions. There's way too much for me to be answering. I'm pretty much a n00b to the RX-8 and this site. There's plenty of people on here to point you in the right direction though.

Check the oil at least once a week, the lube system injects it into the engine and the level goes down.
DON'T shut the engine down in the first couple of minutes - it will wet the plugs with gas (flooding) and won't restart easily.
If you drive like my granny, you may get as high as 19 mpg (on the highway!)......

rwhp is like 175-185 I believe, 5.8 is the best 0-60 ive seen, but usually its in the mid 6's. You can accomplish a sub 7 second 0-60 launch without trashing your clutch, but it you want a sub 6 second 0-60, you need to launch at 7K plus.......ouch.
