Just got car back from warranty service

1. Replaced passenger sun visor
2. Replaced rear tail lights seals..condensation
3. Did emissions recall 4206f

Mazda full circle inspection:
catalytic converter inspection...all ok

engine difficult to start..run engine test...all ok

flashed pcm and replaced 2 leading spark plugs

measured front/rear brake linings ..all ok over 50% left

performed battery test, all okay

checked tire and measured tire thread depth. all okay
set tire pressure to factory recommendations

No charge

Seems like they used up about half a tank of gas but only about 30 miles put.

Next time I will make sure I don't have much gas in tank ie less than 1/4 tank when I take it in next time.

After they did all that to your car you're going to complain about less than 20 dollars worth of gas? 30 miles for half a tank...either they're gas bandits or you're just mistaken about how much you really had

30 miles on a half a tank...Even if you did drive it like you stole it there's no way you could burn that much gas, these cars have what a 15 gallon tank? Around 7 gallons for 30 miles? That's less than 5 MPG...

Best way to know if techs drive your car around is to reset the second trip odometer, and then switch it over to the first one, and leave it at whatever it is. They might check the first odo, but they'll never think to check the second one.

Your kinda of late for the emissons recall. That should have been done a year ago.

^ and should have come with a free fillup. Though, iirc, the free gas may have had a time limit on it - which you are long past.

I was close though!!

Still it doesn't make my calculations too far off, it's still like 5 MPG, which is impossible!

I just bought the car about 3 weeks ago. Previous owners were too lazy I guess. As soon as I bought it, I went to dealer to have all Recalls/warranty work done.

Yes, the washing car and free tank of gas had a time limit. I called CS and they did not know anything about topping the tank. I saw the letter to dealers as posted on forum. It did have a time limit.
I am okay with not getting free gas. The 2 free spark plugs made my day.
Am not complaining about gas being used. I can live with that.

I still think it's incorrect to replace only two plugs.

It seems like a half *** job by Mazda. They save a few bucks but only replacing two out of 4 plugs seems half *** to me.

He could replace the other two if he wanted to do it himself, aren't they pretty easy to get to?
