Perfect day for photos and zaino... yummy pics inside.

So i had some nice one-on-one time with the closest thing I have to a girlfriend (my RX8)

Here are some delicious pics I thought I'd snap for fun! Only had her 5 months but ive put almost 18K miles on it (work)

enjoy!

FYI if the image looks blocky or something click it and have it put up to the normal resolution so everything is smooth.

Cheers!
Jeff

Ooooh, shiny!!! LOL

Looks great! I'll have to get some pictures of mine in the sunlight if it would ever show up here. Mine is extra shiny after the Teflon coating and boy does the rain bead up and run off like crazy! There has been thunder and lightening at my house for the last three days periodically. The lightening strikes keep setting off my car alarm.

Nice pics...

I was at the Texas A&M vs. LSU game in the NCAAs this year. You Aggies have some really interesting cheeers. I, and I think the rest of the Florida crowd, couldn't understand most of it. Then a guy behind me started singing the fight song. Something about goodbye to Texas University and cutoff the horns, etc...?

So let me jump in here.

First off, grats on having a shiny RX8. It must have taken hours.

Second. Please...someone explain to me why it's worth the money and time to do? Every single morning I've got pollen coating my car. When it rains a little overnight (almost daily), that pollen turns into a collection of nice yellow spots. Take the car around the block and you've got a nice layer of brake dust.

My point? If you USE the car for 10 minutes or expose it to the real world, all that work goes up into thin air. To me, it's like pissing into the wind. I take my car through gas station car washes when it gets bad. If the weather is nice, I'll spend an hour or two washing and waxing it. I hold no illusions though...the car will be filthy in no time.

I just don't get it.

^^Maybe people take pride in cleaning their car. Maybe people enjoy spending the time to take care of their car. Why can't he post something he enjoyed doing without people bitching about it?

your statement is partially true, keep in mind though not everyone lives in a place where pollen covers a car overnight. It just depends where you are. This past week my baby has been super clean because of the good weather.

The other thing is, its something ive worked hard for and wanted to take the best possible care of. If I know im going out that night ill wash and get my car all spiffed out so i can be even MORE of a pimp . Owning a black car it is a pain in the *** to keep shiny and clean but its just something im proud of, there have been days when its super clean i go on a drive for an hour and its filthy afterwards but it was a nice drive and when it IS clean oh how people stare :-)

You take your car to an automatic car wash !? You need to get Zaino my friend. And remember the more you clean it, the easier it will be to clean the next time.

yeah, I'm sorry but i would rather let my cat sit in caked mud then take it to an automatic carwash, or have weird brushes/rags cleaning my car that I'm not familiar with.

Hand wash for me only with the sweet smelling Z-7 Wash.

I auto-carwash. It's that or nothing, I don't have the time for anything else.

When I make my first million, I'll hire one of you guys to do the carful Zaino treatment.

<vent>I live in an apartment, so I don't have a driveway (and don't know of a place to hand wash it myself). There's a handwash place, but each time I go I witness some stupid employee harming my car (i.e. a guy threw a door open and swung his legs in, leaving a permanent scuff mark on the inside of the door; another girl didn't know the suicide doors opened and proceeded to squeeze herself between the front seat and the door, no doubt causing herself lots of pain and stressing the hell out of my seat). So my car goes unwashed for months. On top of all that, the landscape guys come and do their thing on MONDAYS. So if I manage to wash my car, its going to be on a weekend, when I have time, then come Monday, its completely covered with dust and dirt. My best bet is a touch-free wash, but I haven't found one within 60 miles. I hate my life. </vent> I love my 8 :D
