Oil Pressure Gauge & another question

I've had my RX-8 about two weeks now, and notice that the oil pressure gauge appears to be an analog idiot light...just like the 95+ Miatas. Is this so?? And has anyone been able to make it work as a proper analog gauge as is possible with the Miatas.

Also, I'm a little confused as to the actual model I have. I think it's a GT, but maybe if I give you some of the options it has you'll be able to tell me.

Sun (moon?) roof
Bose
"Advanced" key system
Heated seats -- umpteen way power
Leather
Power mirrors

If you need anymore info, let me know.

Thanks

Unfortunately, the search function in this forum leaves much to be desired. I slogged through a couple of pages of stuff and didn't get an answer to the oil gauge question. That's when I posted here. After you told me to "SEARCH", (which probably took as much time as answering "Yes, it's an idiot gauge"), I did try using the "google" alternative for the oil pressure switch question, and yes, I was able to find the answer. However, using google to find out what model I actually have didn't come up with a definitive answer.

So, what option(s) or item(s) does it take to make a 2007 RX-8 a GT?

read the "new and potential owners start here" sticky in RX8 Discussions. That's where you'll find a ton of info regarding the 8...

If you have a sun roof and leather seats, it's a GT.

I apologize for not having gone through the whole FAQ first, but initial searches left me confused, so I posted the question.
