Oil CEL on/off.... Need Help

Oil CEL on/off.... Need Help

I dont have any problem with my car so far but lately there are occcasionally Oil CEL that comes out and off for awhile.
Is it normal?? Or is there a prob??

how fast are you driving when it happens.... if around 72 to 74 mph, 1 you need to put oil in. 2 search for oil pan tsb..

Yea, when i'm crusing around 70-80 miles. So, its nothing major right??
Should get it repaired?? Its the software problem right??

It is an oil-injected engine so it could be telling you it is low on oil. It should be checked and added too ASAP if it is low. If its not low then bring to Mazda and they will apply the TSB if it is needed. You will need to add one quart of oil about every 1-2k miles depending on how you drive it. There are two marks on the oil dip stick. One point eight quarts(1.8qts) is in between those marks. Dont worry about oil use, if its not useing oil then worry.

not a software problem... they changed the oil pan a little.... the dealer can check you vin # to see if yours needs to be replaced....

just make sure you have oil in the car..

So was the oil on or near the bottom line? Mazda ask that you use 5-20w oil. We are all curious....

I just filled it up a could days ago.......but the light on appears when i'm crusing arond 70-80

Then it is the TSB's I listed on first POST. Print them out and bring to dealer, they will fix N/C.
