New kid on the block
Well I'm new around here and don't even have my RX-8 in my drive way yet, going to pick it up on the 18th, next wed. My name is C.J., I live in Maryland, in the Air Force, 26, and ummm yeah well I'm new here, oh yeah already mentioned that. Anyways I'm picking up a base model 6 speed RX-8 for one reason mainly. I didn't want to pay the extra money for stuff I won't be using.
Anyways if ya'll can give the low down on the 8, I'd prefer if you owned one to give me your opinion. So any current owners please give me your opinion of how you feel about your 8, and how good it's been to you, and any problem that might have popped up. I look forward to hanging out around here in the future. Thanks for any input.

I love mine. Congrats on the base model, that's what I tried to get. Ended up with the sport package (HID & DSC), but no regrets. Remember, you saved money (more mods!), and stock for stock, your car will out accelerate, out brake, and out handle any other rx8.

You've pick a sweet car man! THere are very few probs with the 8. The only probs I had was the headliner falling down because the factory put the screws or whatever in backwards and the battery. Lots of people here are having probs with it. Make sure you never let your car sit for more then a week. Welcome here by the way!

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention I picked up a Nordic Green RX-8 which seems to be rare here on the east coast. But anyways thanks for the welcome you guys, and I'll catch up with you later.

In a great big ol' nutshell, I've NEVER loved a car like this. Since I was a kid I had always wanted a Mustang, some years back I finally got a beautiful convertible and loved it. But even that can't compare to the way I feel about the 8. There's just a connection between you, the car, and the road that you have to feel to understand.
I love just running errands now.
Enjoy!
