New Engine Questions
Alright, so I my 8 is an 2005 model with a 2011 Renesis in it the motor has just over 600 miles. I have been reading what I can find on the forum about breaking it in properly and I am waiting to hear back from the previous and only owner about some questions that I had concering the new engine. When they call me back Im am going to ask them if they know whether or not the dealership when installing the engine installed new coils and spark plugs? So in summary 1} Any quick tips that I may have not read yet on breaking in the engine 2) What is the general consensus among ya'll on the chances that the dealership installed new spark plugs and coils? and lastly when typically do coils and spark plugs need changing IF she reports that they have not been changed the car itself has just over 79000 miles. Thanks in advance for the help.

doubt every much that its a "2011" engine. Odds are its just the run of the mill renny rebuilt
Did you receive a bills for new ignition components? 9/10 times people have to purchase these new components.
Don't take the dealers word--- check the plugs and coils yourself
600 miles are NOW your asking advice on break-in???????
You need to do some research on what it is your driving. be prepared to get flamed on this one, all the questions are easily found here in numerous threads

I assume that you bought the car with a fresh engine replacement from a Girl.
Please use the search feature on the main menu screen, pretty much any thing you ever wanted to know is there.
Also being new here, only make one thread for each problem you have. It will get an answered in time.
The engine should have new plugs, coils are a crap shoot as to replacement by dealer.

REALLY? Wow, you really know how to make someone feel welcome dont you? My bad, first off I JUST got the car two days ago so yeah I am asking about breaking in and Second I have been reading on this forum for quite awhile prior to purchasing and now that I have an 8. My bad for some of the redundant questions I found quite a bit of info. using the search feature AFTER posting this thread I would have deleted if I had known that it would have irritated you so bad but pretty sure a mod. has to do that right? Oh.... wait am I allowed to ask that last question without being taken through the ringer?

This is what you should do-- You have 600 miles on the new engine, right?
It's time for an oil change. When you change the oil take a look at the plugs, coils are just as easy. If the original owner cannot produce receipts for the new ignition components i would definitely check everything out for myself. All you need as a 1/2 hour.
I'll give you a hint for the Proper break-in procedure "Racing Beat"
Hope you feel welcomed now
