CT Legal Japanese style plates?

some friends and i were talkin about how it might be cool to put japanese style plates on my rx8. idk how they would look tho. i used the search and only two things came up and they didn't answer my question.

So does anyone know if Japanese style plates are legal in the US. I'm talkin about the long rectanglular ones (same size as euro plates)

If so wat do I have to do to get the DMV to approve it.

lastly who can i order something like this from

thanks

Uh, plates are made by the state, I don't think you can just make a custom one.

In states that did not require a front plate, it MIGHT be legal to put one on the front. But I have to agree that doesn't sound like a good look.

Here in AZ I don't think it matters because my buddy has an s4 with a European front license plate.
