honest opinion please!
I have a 06 AT these cars are prone for engine failure and so on. I just recently found out that my car has a new motor! My spark plugs have fowled out, cat gone bad. I have aftermarket parts on my car and mazda won't warrenty it. What should I do keep the car? What I take great care of my car! But there is still that scare please help!!

Looking at your mods, you have a CAI and a Cat back exhaust. They are trying to say that these have caused the cat to go bad? how many miles do you have? if under I believe 80k they have to replace the cat under law. They would also have to prove that these caused the cat to fail which we all know is BS. Bad plugs are not ususally covered and DO NOT buy them from the dealer or have them install them. You can get plugs for around $20 each at Autozone. I would go to another Mazda Dealer and ask them to replace the cat under warranty (If you are under the 80k) you could also call Mazda North America and file a complaint. Take them a copy of this

I believe she stated she has less than 65,000 miles on a previous thread, for which I mentioned she qualifies for the Power Train Warranty and also for a new Catalytic Converter since the car doesn't have over 80,000 miles on it...
Also the car has had it's engine replaced as she's stating so I'm sure it will have to enter the dealer and have it replaced. There are owners here who have received their 4th engine and all installed by MAZDA !!! so don't worry you're not the first one that this has happened.
Ignition Coils, Wires, Plugs if changed recently and the car wont start, ( THE ENGINE HAS NO COMPRESSION ) plugs $80, coils $120 , cables $80 = $280 DIY thread can help you don't need MAzda to do this for you , if they do they'll charge almost $600 ( Your Choice ) !!!!
The dealer she's going to must have something in their records from the previous owner that may have targeted the car for denial of warranty
Yes 2006 At was the first year 6spd tranny were released , all 04 & 05 AT have 4spd

I zoom therefore I am.
best thing the OP can do is replace the cat and replace the plugs. You'll get next to nothing for a non-running/poor running car if you try to sell it.
check some threads and you can either buy an aftermarket cat or have a generic cat put in by a muffler shop.. could always just gut your cat as well.
lots of vendors sell plugs for a reasonable price, so total cost to you should be pretty reasonable.

I did gut it! They installed a mid pipe.. I only have 42k on dash milage on the engine itself I have 18k I was not informed that the car I was buying had a replaced engine. Mazda said since I have after market exaust, headers back, cai that I void my warrenty! I'm scared that my engine will fail and mazda will not replace it and I have no money for that kinda thing. I love my car! I take the greatest care of it! Top it off with 5w20 non synthetic, use premium, get oil changes every 3k, red line it daily, ride high rpms, I'm always in slap shift!! I take care of it! If there is something I'm not doing right please tell me! I just don't have any history from the previous owner of my car and just found out about engine replace. I just don't know what to do if something does goes wrong mazda won't help me...

Mazda replaced my last engine (3rd in 107,000 miles) with my midpipe installed, it was never an issue. They have to prove your aftermarket mod did damage, hell ,Mazda sells the AEM/Mazdaspeed CAI, SS, catback, flywheel, etc. and that is warrantied so..........

are you stalking me 9krpmrx8 ? jejee just kidding man... unbelievable 107,000 3rd engine and still going... TWO THUMBS !!!! NOW that's what I call a Rotary Fan !!! :-)
jennifer yeah you can just swap for the oem parts and take it to another dealer, that works also ... dealers are full of BS sometimes but not all of them, some actually go the extra mile...

It helps to know what's on your side.
Here's a good read:

Here's a good read:
Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an
aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or
contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15
U.S.C. 2302(C)) .
