hi all - new RX8 R3 owner and member
Just wanted to say hi... this past thursday I bought a new 2010 RX8 R3. My first RX8. LOVE LOVE it!
I've had many different cars in the past - couple of BMW's, a Mitsu Eclipse GSX, a couple of Civic Si's, a Mazda 6, an Acura TSX... nothing, and I mean NOTHING has stirred my soul like this thing does. It's just gorgeous. And I love way it handles and responds.
Anyway, thanks for the great site - lots of useful info on here. I've been lurking for a bit prior to buying the car. Hope to meet some of you out there. I'm in Maryland near Annapolis.
Here she is...

I assume you mean things like don't beat it to death (drive it over 7K rpm), don't use cruise control for extended periods, try not to stomp on the brakes (unless I gotta) to instant stop. that sort of stuff?
Anything else I should really watch for since I'm a rotory newb? I've read about the flooding / enriched fuel problems. I've also read about revving the engine above 3K prior to shut off. Any sort of insite you all may have would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

it's a terrific bike - best bike I've owned actually. prior to the K12S I had an '06 VFR800. It was a decent bike just not enough giddyup. before that I had a big '99 K1200RS - so comfortable but more on the touring side. This current bike is the best of both worlds. It's stupid fast, yet civilized enough to take 1,700+ mile trips on without killing your @ss.
