Finally got my dream car
Hello everybody,
Finally I bought rx8. Read few things before purchasing and thanks for all information here it was very helpful. Although car is 2004 with high mileage i got it for a good price, so even if i have to replace engine i think im still good for the money i paid for it.

I don't know any specific details, guy said it runs good(I would too). I figured, even with bad engine i can get it replaced around $3000 and it will be a better car than i can find for $9000.
I have some experience working on cars, but mostly german(2 audis, bmw) as well as working on anything else that my friends bring in my garage. So i feel confident that i can do most of the things myself. Check engine light is on probably because RPMs are on 0 so engine is not started.

It does look great, and yeah, I saw the car's not started in those pics, haha.
But when you get her picked up, let us know how it all goes.
She'll probably need quite a bit of maintenance, as most cars do, but other than that, I hope she runs great for you. Give her a nice wash and wax, and get some pics!

i picked up the car, looks great even with some minor scratches, scuffs, dings and other 7 year wears. Drives good for the exception of power steering. Never thought i would prefer to drive with out it. When it on it acts weird and dangerously. It turns left without a problem but to turn right even when it PS is on hard. But when its off it drives good but hard. So is there a fuse that i can take out and drive without PS?

Doing anything like that will damage your rack and pinion even more than it currently is. I'd honestly suggest just getting it fixed/replaced. Get a new one off of someone on here parting one out or something.

I don't see why driving without PS would damage the Rack and Pinion, and the easy one side hard the other sounds like the harness that connects the PS to the every thing else has got some water or other crap in it. Check these threads out before you take it to the shop.
