im located in southern california and need my engine rebuilt. do any of you guys know of a shop or mechanic that can do so. or what my best options,.. thanks much appreciated .

Doesn't seem to be many rotary shops around. Check out Lucky7 Racing in Duarte. I just had them do a compression test for me.... They had a few RX-8s that they were working on, and some mean sounding RX-7s....

yeah i called them, they recommend reman engine.... i think im just gonna send it out to florda and let cam at Pettit racing use his magic touch and rebuild it nice.. hes gonna street port and do some modifications to the oil lines.

Have you considered calling Mazdatrix or Atkins Rotary? Not exactly local but close enough that shipping your engine there would not be killer expensive.
