Does your radio stay on after you've taken the key out?
Mine does. I just asked mazda about it and they said its meant to stay on until i open the door. But it goes off after about 3 seconds if i dont open the door. You guys too?

mines an 04. after your 2 responses I thought maybe I was smoking crack. just went out and tested and sure enough, stays on until I open the door while I remained in my car smoking crack.

I have an 04 and mine turns off when I turn the key to the off position. I have the 6disc cd changer and Bose OEM system. It might depend on the stereo system installed since caveney stays on until door is opened and also has an 04.

Interesting thread lol. I thought it was standard on most vehicles now. I have a 07 and mine stays on until i open the door. I have the smart key though, Might be becuase of that. All of the cars I drove does this, 04 explorer, 04 f150, and 08 malibu

I wonder if maybe it's a feature on the Bose head unit???
I have an 08 Sport with the standard radio and it shuts off immediately after the key is removed.
.... My Dodge company car leaves the radio on until the door is open. I like that feature.

I have the 07 Touring, and mine turns off when the car does. the nav screen will stay open for about 2 seconds, then closes itself when the key is turned to off.
Those of you who have radios that stay on, do you have GT's?

07, not mine. The second the car goes off, radio is gone. Though, like everybody elses, if I turn the car off and not open the door, I can roll the windows up and down still.

2004 with bose 6 disc.... turns off... so its not specific to the premium system.
although after taking the key out and before opening the door... i could operate my windows as someone mentioned
(not the moon roof tho)
Also what is the condition on where your doors lock automatically? I know that if you unlock via the keyfob and dont open the door, it will relock... but i recall that after getting out one time, the doors locked automatically... maybe i was wrong

Might be, mines a GT with the bose package, mabye others with the same set up can confrim this.
