Do you guys think this interior is hot or not ?

Guys . . . I'm really on the fence on this one and need some clear thinkers . ..

I wanted black/black or titanium grey/ black but the dealer has a black/ black & red , I'm going to look at it today in person but do think it's hot or not ...

Thanks to whoever posted these picutres on other boards, I hope you don't mind I posted them here. If you do, let me know and I'll remove them

I seem to be in the minority on this board, but I hate any red(or blue, yellow whatever other color) interior scheme. I love the cloth solid black.

I voted no and I'll tell you why. I have the red with red/black interior and I love it. I was really thinking black with the same interior, but when I saw it in person it didn't do anything for me like the red did. Whatever you are looking for in a vehicle is what you need to put foremost before making the decision not our opinions. Good luck...

I wish I could have got that combination but it isn't available in Canada, in my opinion its by far the best looking combination.

I have the same interior posted above, red/black. I think that this is one of the most attractive interiors I have ever seen in a car anywhere near $30,000.

Is that the stock leather or aftermarket??

I notice the ribs are missing from the bolsters. Cool matching baby seat! I personally only like the Chapparell

Are you asking about the factory 2-tone, or is your picture of something aftermarket? Can't see much detail in the picture.

The baby seat needs to be re-upholstered to match Then it would be totally hot

Another vote for black cloth, although I wouldn't want it with some colors, such as dark green. It's perfect, IMO, with my sunlight silver.

Cool Primo....

The Black paint is a really nice package, set off by the nice clear rear lights, only needs the clear front corners to be gorgeous!

The red interior is, of course, by far the best, and the combination of inner/outer is hard to keep clean, but then, something about the '8 just screams 'high maintenance'. (But then, isn't everything worth having.....?)

Like Jag says, this combo isn't available in Canada, but I would love it.

Seems in U.K. they can't give the red interior away, they are a bit too conservative, no one wants to be 'flashy', something about a stick somewhere....

I was a little afraid of the red and black, but once you get it, it begins to grow on you. Like a fungus, I'm glad I made the decision to go red/black. It's definitely different then most cars on the market. And you have to go leather!

Hot meaning it is nice colour or you are asking the actual temperature... I don't think the ext colour make any difference to be honest

Maybe it would have grown on me but I didn't care for the red leather at all. I waited to take delivery to avoid buying one with red/black; in favor of the chaparral. For the titanium, I'm especially glad I didn't go with the red. Different strokes....

We have the red/black interior with the Titanium Metallic and we love it. I do want to know where the baby seat came from since we are going to have a baby later this year and would love to get one for the 8.

I like the leather seats and did not want to go with cloth. Personal preference. I definitly think they gave everyone a good selectiong as to what they could get to be happy. So everyone can get what they want.

Sorry... I beg to differ here. Mazda USA's option selections are missing ONE important item:

A "moonroof delete" option.

If they had that, I would consider the GT package very strongly.

But since they do not allow to separate leather and a moonroof, I will be forced to get a Sport (I want the Xenons).

Too bad, because Mazda could've made some more $$ off me had I been allowed to choose the GT package but DELETE the moonroof....

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking... and had to end up with the sport package only for the very same reason.
Dumb decision from Mazda. Very dumb.

Hmm, red is too much of an aggressive color for me. I want a nice cruising drive in a soft ambiente. If I can, with cars, I prefer decent "luxury" cream colored leather, wooden panels etc crossed with an aggressive, sportsy outside .. maybe an odd combo. Ilike black .. but only on fresh, waxed cars or car ad's. Most black cars out in reality are just dirty, every little stain shows etc. Too much hassle for me. I'd go with a decent gray

Chaparral rules! Can you get it with black exterior? Of not, go for Titanium with Chaparral - easily the classiest combo (although I may be a bit biased ). I had a black RX-7 for 16 years, and said 'never again'! Too hard to keep looking nice. The Titanium can be dirty and still look great!

But if you must... take the 2-tone over straight black, just to create some excitement. Red was just a little too much for me.

Go for the red/black! I've got the titanium w/red/black even though my first choice was going to be chapparel. Judging by all the nose prints I find on my windows a lot of people like the red.

I voted YES, because looking at the picture it is a hot combo.

However, I just can't deal with the two-tone steering wheel (not pictured) regardless of how good the rest of the interior looks. Even after 12 months of looking a pictures (from all angles) and seeing actual cars I still think the two-tone steering wheel is ugly, particularly with a bright color like red.

I personnaly do not like the two tone stuff. I am getting the Red with the all black interior. Much classier in my opinion, however I think I am in the minority. Still, I cannot wait as I take delivery tommorow. My kids cannot wait either. What other sport car can you take your kids for a ride in!

I am looking to make THE purchase next month and am finding this forum extremely informative. With that said...
I'm pretty much locked into the Titanium as my color but the interior is racking my brain. I test drove the solid black interior, but the two-tone is so damn sexy. Does the black/chapparel work with the titanium? To me it doesn't seem like the two colors would ever work together. And the black/red I figure does work. I know it's all based on personal opinion, but what do you guys think? What would be the pro's and con's of the two?
