Red face The Buzzer and I Thank You.

Not too long ago, I bought an RX-8, in large part because of the things that I read about it on this forum, and because it's a car that I couldn't stop looking away from. Tonight, I finally passed the 600 mile break-in period, and brought her to the buzzer for the first time. Yes, it's quite ridiculous: but yes, what fantastic, incredible, unique piece of artistic genius is under our hoods!

For anyone who might read this, I wanted to remind you of that first sense of discovering the real joy that's in this car.

I love this car! Thanks to everybody on here for helping me make a great decision (and for helping me practically steal a car for the amount I had to pay for it)!

I might not see all that many RX-8's on the road (and if you see a red 8 in Seattle with the plates 811-UVV, that's me!), but man... I wouldn't have bought anything else.

The Buzzer and I Thank You.

What part of Seattle are you from? I always see a red 8 going opposite of me around 2:30 pm on Mapple Valley road on my way to work, that wouldn't happen to be you would it? You should come out to our meet June 11. Heres some info on it if you wanna read up about it (https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...38#post1372538) Make sure to check out the NW thread.

Nice post. This forum, and one member in particular(Royal Pain) who I knew from another board, were key to helping me make my decison on this great car as well.

I just passed the 800 mile mark on my 8 and I share the exact same thoughts. Thanks for posting your remarks!

Geez, I finally redlined mine yesterday after driving it 1800 miles under 4000 rpms. Changed the oil and it was FILTHY after the break in period. It really feels about as fast as my S2000 once you rev to 9000, can't tell that it's only a 6+ second 0-60 car.
