quick tire/ trade-in question
watup guys quick question.
As some of you may know I am trading my rx8 soon. I went to a tire place so they could swap out my aftermarket wheels and put the current tires it had on on the oem wheels. I have oem tires in the front, and two winter tires in the rear.
The guy told me they could not switch them because the rears were very very low and could not do it because of liability reasons. The dealership also told me that they were down to the bone, at least the one on the left was.
So my question is, should I trade with these tires? Or buy some used ones this guy here is offering me here for $120. Then they would all be OEM tires.
Would the dealership give me BS and try to reduce my trade in value significantly, thanks alot

Trade-in is affected by tire mismatch. You'll get dinged more for mismatch than low tread. Low tread, if it looks appropriate for the mileage is already accounted for in the mileage factors.
