any other 06 or 07 owners saddened
anyone else kind of sad or upset that the rx8 hasn't been improved at all. I mean, the toyota solstice or whatever has better hp then my 8. or comparable to it. and when they do come with an improved rx8, I will be driving a regular one. nothing to compensate for that.

well I was pretty nooby when it came to cars. Didn't realize what I was getting into. however,I would still buy teh car if I had to do it over because I still like it.
and i;ve read somethign about a mazdaspeed 8.
just wish I could get one of these babies but it is too late.

What can they improve upon, besides colors and gadgets? Not much. Direct injection, maybe.
And the Pontiac Solstice is a lot slower than the MT.

Now that I see you have an auto. Yes, you bought the wrong car and will regret your decision for the rest of eternity. Sucks to be you! Have fun trying to keep up with base model Civics.

Mazda obviously did their homework and hit this one out of the park first time up. Frankly I'm relieved they haven't improved it the way Mazda "improved" the first Miata, Nissan "improved" the first Z, and VW "improved" the first GTI.

Dude. Trade your car in if it makes you unhappy or gives you an inferiority complex. Get one that:
1) Has an unlimited RWHP & ft/lbs of torque so you never get envious at the next, newest car that might top yours in their brochure (but has a auto tranny)
2) You mom wouldn't find appealing to drive
3) Doesn't have an online forum/club that you can depress & irritate to a slow agonizing death

Actually i'm not sad at all because my dealer, in their infinite wisdom, knew how unhappy i would be with my RX8 (that has had several years to work out any bugs) and gave me 2 prescriptions for prozac with a special non-spill storage unit in the glove compartment.

I dont know about where you live and what not, but I live in a place that has a "speed limit". I really dont care about how much HP/TQ the car has as long as it can keep up with the flow of traffic.

The 8 has improved. The AT has more HP and is a 6 port now.
There are other things they can improve besides color.
Such as memory seats, better cabin insulation. We have a thread on that.
