800 HP from a 3-rotor turbo - hmmm, if true, there's enough boost in that turbo to allow for an engine life of, I dunno, 10000 miles.

Basicly the RX8's (and some other cars) tires don't spin smoothly because it breaks and grabs traction when there is wheelspin, which kind of gives you a rear vibration and clunky hoping feel. This will usually only occur when you break the tires loose in a 1st gear launch.

Except maybe the 850 hp two engine Audi TT with AWD still engaged. Saw that car on Speed Channel and it did 0-60 in about 3 seconds. It was crazy.

I think you would be shocked to find out how many other street legal cars there are that could smoke it in many forms of racing. Mighty impressive, though there still seems to be a lot of mystery surrounding this car. Is it just a dyno queen? I highly highly doubt you could run the car at the boost required to make the 800hp for very long at all. Why are there no 1/4 miles times on this car, lap times, etc. I thought the Modiefied article was supposed to have all that but from the sounds of it the actual competition never happened. I wish I had checked out the Magazine so I actually knew what the hell I was talking about. :p Did the mag even post a dyno graph?


I see no mention of what tranny this thing has in it, which makes me wonder just how long before the gearbox explodes. 1 or 2 hards runs maybe? What about suspension stuff, all I see are some coilovers, nice coilovers at that, but just tossing some coilovers on an 800hp car and not touching anything else on the suspension... When it comes down to, to me this car seems like a dyno queen and showcar above everything else.

The Modified magazine article explains all the mods. It has a completely different drivetrain (tranny, driveshaft, diff, and rear suspension mods)
