Angry 3 days and keyed already

Ok, Take ownership of my 8 on monday. Go to applebees with the wife and get dinged by an elderly lady in a caddie.... pretty crappy. Now, wed nite sometime, some little piece of crap human being without anything better to do in his useless existance decides to take his anger out on the trunk of my 8 by keying it from one side to the other. Talk about being highly upset with the human race. Makes me sick.... Ok, all done, just needed to vent a little bit.

Wow, that really sucks. Sorry to hear it, man. I hope it was just the trunklid? At least that can be pulled off the car relatively easily and painted.

I wouldn't want to commit a crime in Texas :P Scary state for capital punishment... Now if you come to CAlifornia.. they give you 2 freebies to go do stuff, and then you're screwed for stealing a candy bar or something.

If you're going to repaint your trunk, think about debadging the rear....

Not all of them - there are jerks in all 50 states - see in Singapore the cained that kid 10 years ago for car vadalisim - they need something like that here. Or make a law if you key someones car you get full right to key their next 3 new cars - that would be nice!

And my wife wonders why I am so paranoid about parking and picking just the right spot. Last night at dinner I got lucky and was able to see the car from our table.

Sorry about the bad luck.

Thanx for the concern guys. My wife always thought I was paranoid too. Now she knows otherwise. I'm gonna give the body shop a holler tomm. and see what they can do.

Ouch! I hate hearing about that. I am glad that I live in a nice neighborhood and don't have to worry so much. I still check my car out 5-6 times a night just to make sure it's ok. I would set up a vieo camera just in case they try to do it again. Then call us and we'll set up a public stoning. I have no sympathy for punks who do property damage. I would love to catch one myself...

Sorry to hear that some worthless sh*t bag did that to your car. Get the ding out by a paintless dent remover fix the trunk and try to forget.

For therapy I suggest some curvy roads. :D

well, im a wife & in this marriage i own the 8 and i choose the perfect parking spot and im the only one who drives it. yep the hubby thinks im paranoid (the one x i did let him drive he scuffed up my rim).

anyway, i feel ur pain texas 8. someone sliced the top on my eclipse spyder w/a knife or something in a parking lot. also had a dodge avenger (what was i thinking? lol) that was keyed from front to back all along the pass side.

people can be jealous and straight up stupid, every where ya go there r those people. sorry!

ive had the paintless dent removal done on a door ding on my 8 2 weeks after i got it, came out great. i guess the key marks are too deep for a good compound to take out huh? well, good luck!

ps MEAN PEOPLE SUCK!!!

Problem is your living in Texas with those evil Cowboy fans, move up here to VA or DC nothing but classy people especially us skins fans. In all serious though, I hope you catch the guys that did that to your 8 and key their forehead.

Man I hate reading stuff like this. Sorry to hear about your troubles. This is the kind of crap that makes me want park my 8 somewhere and just monitor it all day long to see if anyone will come along and key it. Then when I see them do it I come running out and beat the crap out of them.

I park on the "south 40" to try and avoid dings and so far, including the 3 years with the Mustang GT before the 8, it's worked okay. All it takes is one damn looser sumbitch like the one you got keyed by and that's all for naught. Sorry to hear about your loss. Hope it looks cherry after you get it repainted.

Taking the wife's car is not an option here. Shes driving a black trans am and she's probably more particular about it than I am about my 8. She'll wash it after a 5 mile roundtrip to the post office. It's 2 years old and looks brand new however, so I can't blame her.

That is so wrong. I want to believe that they'll get what they have coming to them.

My wife's 2000 Accord had it's bumper get keyed 43 times last summer. Some punk really worked at it. Luckily they only took out their hate on the bumper and didn't go all over the place. We stopped at a Starbucks in the wrong part of town. I use to wonder why a Starbucks at that location? I should have kept on driving...

No no no... you'll get arrested for assault and battery and the scumbag will sue you.

What you really need is a blind, a high-powered rifle and a good scope. Yeah... :p
Just make sure the splatter doesn't hit the paintjob.

Okay, I think it's past my bedtime now.

I'm a nice person. Really....

Only problem with repaint is it's hard to match the factory's orange peel. Fairly noticeable, especially on my blackie.
