[DIE 4] - RX8 Show car
Hey guys,
l've uploaded this clip to youtube from a dvd included in a car magazine you can get here in Oz. The car is alittle too showy for me, but still very nice:

Especially that interior..
Sorry if its a repost.
Also, anyone recognize the car at the start

sports car + chrome dubs + guy who thinks he's made an improvement = sad yet entertaining. One thing I do like about that car is the exterior color. Kinda cool actually.

Good lord, I thank god that my local Mazda club has influenced my standards in terms of taste and design when it comes to cars.
Simple, tasteful and without excess has been the way I've designed my own car. I've got a couple carbon fiber parts and some show stuff but it's all minor. I got my clock cleaned at a Hot Import Nights show here in Phoenix that taught me two things.
One, the show car culture thrives on nutcase designs like the one featured in this post. Two, in order to have a "show stopper" car you have to have VERY deep pockets. This fool doesn't know anything about this car that the shop didn't tell him. He dropped it off, gave them a blank check and picked up the car when its done.
Is that wrong? I suppose not really cause it'a capitalism and these shops are in business to do this for people who can afford it. Still, it makes shows unreachable for average people who do their own wrenching and take pride in it.
22 inch rims? You gotta be kidding me. I suppose you can argue one way or another about the super charger. I doubt they tuned that car for more than 250whp. It's all for show!
Yikes, the interior is really scary too.
We've got RX8's on this board which are wwwaaaayyy better looking than that car and many of them were built in the owners garage.
At the end, to each his own I suppose. I'll stick to the race track. Cars like the Scion XB are designed to be parked. The RX8 is meant to be driven.

I zoom therefore I am.
If that douche has used the term "up to this standard" one more time I was going to lose it. The peach interior is horrible, the rims are far too large, the chrome fender vents look like ***, the bright silver interior trim looks like it was done with a rattle can.
