2007 RX8 Sport - is this considered a good deal?
Hey everyone, I'm new here but I've always been a fan of the RX-8 and I'm now about to buy one! I found what seems to me like a good deal on an RX-8 sport:
2007 Mazda RX-8 Sport, pretty much basic all-around
17,500 miles
new set of BridgeStone Potenza RE760 tires
Certified Pre-Owned so bumper-to bumper warranty until August 2012 / 12,000 miles, Powertrain until October 2014 / 60,000 miles, Core Engine until October 2015 / 100,000 miles.
I'm getting this for $14,600 + tax and fees.
So, am I getting a good deal, or should I keep looking? In terms of condition, the car is pretty much in mint condition. It's been kept garaged and only really driven ~5000 miles/year. The paint is flawless except for one scratch on the back that is being repainted by the dealer before I get the car. And the new tires are definitely a plus, as the cost to buy the tires, have them installed, then balanced and aligned would be around $750 normally.

Compare the asking price with some of the common internet sites for pricing cars. These would be kbb.com, edmonds, com and nadaguides.com. Kbb.com is known to show the highest prices. Nadaguides.com (NADA is National Automotive Dealers Association) will be close to the printed booklet that the guys on the used car lots use to price their cars.
