Rotary mechanics in Portland area ?(p2070)
Can you guys recommend a good rotary mechanic in Portland or even NW area.. I have the p2070 CEL and dealer wants to change the intake manifold and is quoting me 2700.. base don this thread https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ighlight=p2070 there is a DIY video to clean the stuck valve but I am not handy enough to do this on my own and was wondering if you guys know about any reliable rotary mechanic..
I found pineapple racing but it looks like they only build new engines or do they do repairs too ? Any help will be much appreciated.. Thanks.

with a real quick glance someone would only notice the pdx part of your name and since pdxhak is such a prolific poster one could think they are reading a post from him when they see your name. the different pic should be a clue that you arent him but it only adds to the confusion once someone has the notion that they are reading a post from him.
not that any of that happened to me
meanwhile yeah just give marc a call. had the chance to meet him and talk to him recently at the bbq he had for his new shop - seems like a good guy and is at least competent
of course calling Rob at Pineapple to see if he'd do it wouldn't be out of the question either. Income is income in this day and age and he certainly knows his was way around the renesis.

Just to keep this thread up to date, Marc has moved his operations to Canby, OR. (From the looks of the Facebook page, he's in the process of building a new shop.) The phone number and Milliken address in PDXHak's post is now Apex Automotive. Here is Marc's new info:

Yeah, the website says appointments are by invitation only, so I'm hoping "The guys on RX8club.com recommended you" is good enough to get me a call back.
If he's too busy to take on new clientele, hopefully the guys at Pineapple Racing can make recommendations.

Hey guys, I recently got a 2005 rx8 that I love. I just love rotary engines. However, i have 78k on my engine. I'm going to do a compression test this week. If I need an new or reman-engine, is there anyone up here in the northwest that can install it? I know a place that makes them but doesn't install anymore. Any thoughts or suggestions would be truly helpful. Thanks.
