I love this car!

Hello club!

My name is Chris. I bought my Rx8 in Oct. Of 2015. I paid 5500 for my baby, it has oxidized paint, missing one exhaust shrouds and the front lip is hanging a bit.(fixed)
In the last 10 months I have read these forums until my phone has hit my face. LOL! So to get it started, I have upgraded quite a few things. BHR Midpipe, BHR Throttle body spacer, BHR ignition, 3 in. steel catback, Cobb AP, Sohn OMP, K&N air filter(properly cleaned and oiled), Zex 55hp wet Nitrous kit with a Controller, purge, blow down, ( yet to be installed). Waiting till I figure switch and controller placement. I have cleaned the engine bay with brushes, rags and alot of elbow grease. Changed Diff fluid, plugs and wires. Car came with the Throttle body bypass mod, which I'm meh about. All of this I have done or I am in the process of doing myself. I'm 23 and this is my first sports car. I drive it hard as hell! I look forward to more phone to face reading and conversing. I love this car

Compression issues. Im not sure she was treated like she should have been in past relationships lol. I didnt save her ontime and ended up paying for the rehab. So instead of paying somone to do it for me I decided i would venture down this path and learn myself. (IM NEVER SELLING). So now its in my house on a work bench i built specially just for engine.

That is dope! I'm not selling either! My goal is to buy another engine, most likely, from Petit or Mazmart, since both are near me. (Jax, FL) then pull, and rebuild the one I have. Need a few tools before then. Somewhat of a perfectionist, so I want it to be just right before I start.

Are you going to upgrade your flywheel in the process? What are your goals? I've looked at the ACT lightweight. The writeups I have read in this website are awesome!

Yes i am planning on replacing fly wheel with a lighter one. And am looking into a small port ( maybe street port). Not sure. Im not goin to crazy. Mostly want to make the engine work less and be more efficient.

AFE short throw shifter

So everyone, I finally got the AFE short shifter installed. No pics of it, because my phone was dying when I installed. Thanks to PN_wheel for letting me know about the quick install. This took 15 mins with a 10mm socket and extension, and a Philips head screwdriver. Don't do it after just driving your car though. Burnt the hell out of my hand grabbing the nuts.(lol)
So as for feel, it is like a bolt action rifle. Crisp as hell and you know as soon as you enter a gear. It stiff in such a good way. It makes me feel faster (opinion). All in all, if you want a upgrade you can feel, pull the trigger on one of these. It is amazing!

^ The Racing Beat gauge panel kit! I've thought about getting that for years now. I'm just not sure I can afford to give up the cigarette lighter power outlet, and also any unintended consequences (i.e. extra noise in the cabin, new rattles/vibrations, etc.). Let us know your thoughts after you install.

Yeah will do, I bought these used, so I hope all goes well. I don't mind giving up the plug. I'll post alot of pictures of the install as well as a 1 week review on it. Thanks for checking me out!

Oghhh yeaaaaaa, the flip up console. I totally forgot about thay damned thing. Speaking of, do you have a console with the button for the drink holder?my car didn't come with one. So I have to either not slide it closed fully, or try and fumble with that hook.
