Utah-Dark blue to purple color changing 8 sighted....

Has anyone else in the valley seen this car?!?!? I saw it in the Jordan Commons area today on lunch.....The owner flashed his lights at me & we exchanged nods, but I didn't even notice the psychotic paint job he had until he passed me (we were in underground parking, so I couldn't really see).

Well, anyway, I ended up behind him, and my lunch partner claimed it was a DARK blue rx8, I told her "No, they didn't offer a dark blue 8, only the winning blue". We began discussing how there was a Midnight Blue in Japan, but it wasn't offered here, when I caught up to him on State street.

Sure as ****, I had gotten right behind him and it WAS dark blue. THEN the sun hit it. I was in AWE. I'm sure he just had the entire thing custom painted, as it didn't look close enough to the japanese midnight blue or anywhere near any of the stock colors.

Talk about your double-take. That was a beautiful 8.

I actually did follow him for a while. I tried to get his attention. He had a guest with him in the car, though, so I didn't want to bother him too much.

That 8 was BEAUTIFUL.

I'll make sure next time I see him I'll flag him off to the side of the road, and hopefully take some pics.

Are you in the Utah region, TackDarr? Haven't heard from ya before. What color 8 do you drive? Where'd you buy from?

Welcome to the forum!!!

Here's some pics of my 8... I've only had it for about 3 Months now and love it.

They're 19" Katana KR-7 - Hyperblack. Not sure if there's any weight savings though.
