If you rig it like some others via the brake pedal then oh well...
But if you do the fog light the "real way" via a switch and adding a fuse, a DIY would be much appreciated! Some good documentation about running the wires from the back to the switch and fuse box would be truly awesome. It would win hands down as the best DIY for 2004!

Cool Foggy....

I have mine installed, had to change out the hi power fog bulb for some L.E.D.s, to make sure it wasn't too bright back there.

O-guy, love all the mods!

Well, not really my "home" page... more a good place to keep track of everything I've done and am planning on doing. Figure people here will be interested.

Omicron Ivegot a question for you. Have you seenany significant performance gains from those 3 mods youvedone? Or isit something like only 5 extrahorsies?

Well, I can feel the difference. I'd fairly certain the 3 combined yield something over 10HP, as that's what the old "butt dyno" can detect. But I plan to GTech time it soon, and will be getting a dyno done sometime in the near future. I'll post results when I get them.

**EDIT** Note that this reply, as well as the question above, was regarding only the grounding kit. RE intake, and Borla catback exhaust. Any other mods other than those three (such as the CanZoomer Stage 1, which is worth 25 WHP alone) have been added later.

Omicron - Can you install the rear fog light and the rear rotary accent together? Also, where did you get the rear fog light ?

Thx.

I bought the rear fog light only, no wiring, from Canzoomer for $88. And yes you can install this fog with the rear rotary accent, although you have to shave about 3/8 of an inch off the back side of the rotary accent. I plan to do this down the road at some point, but pretty low priority.

I'm hoping to do my rear fog install in the next couple of weeks. I already have the rear rotary accent, and will be posting a DIY when I get it done. It'll be included under this thread:
Rear Fog Light Add-on.
As you'll note in that thread, I did purchase the entire kit.

Ditto, OMG-icron!

Uh, Stealth, are you using the rear fog as an extra brake light? I've considered the mod, but I think I'd keep the full power bulb (yes, I read the thread and I know it's very bright). I just imagine flipping on that rear foggy on I-70 coming out of the mountains in one of those pea-soup fogs, so the Macks don't flatten me.

Hey Paul....

Do you still like your rear fog light? Have you had any problems? Was it worth the $88? Any issues with the local policia?

I'm thinking about buying one, but I think it may just be my psychotic aftermarket sickness taking hold (I believe I suffer from a form of "Rx-8 modomanic disorder" too, I just have yet to locate the funds to support my disorder). =) Let me know if you think it was worth it in the long run.

Ya know Landon, it's been too durn cold for me to mess with hooking it up yet. BUT, that being said, I love it! It's really unique and very good looking in a not-too-in-your-face kind of way. And even not hooked up, it makes an AWESOME reflector at night. during the day it also catches the light, and almost looks jewel-like. I would say that yes, it was definitely worth the money.

Omni: What do you think of the CZ Stage 1?
Difference on Fuel?

Is it req to have a cat-back exhaust with it, or do you think I could use the stock, and upgrade the exhaust later?

Funny even before I read your post you have the exact mod's I was planning on.

Exhaust is supposed to improve on the stage 1 (personally haven't seen any dyno charts w/ stage1 & exhaust....?). But the dyno's in canzoomer's place showing the 23.9 hp (or something like that) peak jump were without aftermarket exhaust, stock all around except the stage1.

I LOVE my stage 1... totally worth the money. Does not seem to have improved mileage much, but that's not what I bought it for. I expected a major kick in the performance department, and that's exactly what I got! I do know I can get 18 MPG in the city (see this thread for more info) but I'm pretty sure that the CZ St1 didn't contribute to that. Mostly driving habits.

No, a catback exhaust (or ANY changes to the exhaust, for that matter) is not required with the Stage 1. But as Landon points out, it will help performance. :D

Hope this helps...

Welp, my secret's out... I have never hooked up my rear fog because what I was planning on doing is EXACTLY what OverLOAD just did. He beat me to it, so I plan to buy this setup from him.

Check it out: Rear Foglamp Controller
Is that not the coolest thing you've seen?!?

:D
