new in utah

Just move from california and wanting to know if there is a rx8 meet that I could attend. In cali I was really heavy with the SoCal rx8 and 7 so I was just wondering if there is one here

Welcome!

What part of Utah?

There are a few of us, but as RX-8 owners we're not organized. SLC Rotary Club:

http://www.slcrotary.com/phpBB3/index.php

Is almost exclusively RX-7's but they meet quite often. A couple of us RX-8 owners will show up there every once in a while.

Check in on the "Utah RX-8 owners" thread and meet the whole gang.

I'm in West Valley and don't get into downtown Salt Lake very often so I don't know about State Street, but on the other thread we were just talking about 8 drivers who don't acknowledge others. We're not sure why. There are a lot of snobby people around here but there are a lot of good people too.

I think some are just spoiled rich kids who don't know what their car looks like from the outside.

Welcome bro! Yeah I we don't meet much. Although I personally am down to meet and cruise whenever/wherever. People around here are hit and miss, some are really great people to know and meet. Other people won't even look at you, more often you'll meet the first type of person. What color year is your 8? Any mods? I have a Sunlight Silver, couple of mods, 2004, 6 speed.

If I see you, you will know, I show plenty of love. I ******* hate the p****** that won't wave or anything.

Nope, I have Sunlight Silver, same as bose. And mine isn't a daily driver, but a weekend car. Except this week I took it to work Monday and today, just because I noticed that I'd only put about 200 miles on it since the end of June! I've been busier on weekends working on the house than I've been during the workweek.

I told my wife Sunday night, after a 3-day weekend, that I needed to go back to work so I could get some rest!

I've seen at least 3 red 8's in West Valley though. Two driven by women, one by a guy. None of them wave back.

Oh yes my friend, there are many canyons pretty near to all of us. I think we should get together for a run soon here.

The canyons vary, some are fairly mellow some have very tight turns, none have very many straits, maybe for a couple hundred feet at a time but not alot of them.

I'm down to meet any weekend. Post somthing in the Utah Rx8 owners thread to see if you can get more over there.

As for Rotary Extreme, I have heard of them but not alot. what were you looking at from them.
