Those skids suggesting the car was in a drift are called 'yaw marks' in reconstructionist jargon, and speed can usually be bracketed from those. The cost of the car, the location and the fact the driver hasn't been ID'd yet suggests it's a person of significant local influence. Anyone else and a booking photo would have been inserted above the wrecked car picture while the Sheriff was making some silly comment for the next election cycle.
That said I'm somewhat familiar with those roads...a brother lives in Greeley. Alot of blind corners and the car will unload. You have to pay attention, but they are a hoot to drive. Glad the guy is alright.
