No, it's a convertible! Nice car and it must be great fun on a sunny day with the top down. It's a whole different animal to the RX-8 and just as valid.

i can't believe the amount of work that went into that site... talk about sour grapes: that's the most blatent example of deconstructive effort i've seen in a while.
Yeah... I have seen that site before. The thing with that guy is that almost all of the stuff he is complaining about is little ****. Ex. wipers squeak, seat sticks, etc... I have not had any problems as of yet and I am carefully planning my mods as we speak...
Originally posted by Wing His big concern seems to be the alarm system and the ignition coils (which there was a recall for).
Yeah, you're right. There are a few recalls or "re-parts" on those cars. I am getting ready to take mine in for the 20k mile service. When I'm there I am going to ask a million questions and show Audi that I have done my homework on my car. That way they can't start spouting terms to confuse me. Also, it helps that a long time family friend's brother is the service director here at my local Audi dealership.
I like the myaudittsucks.com website and give the guy credit for warning others. Ever notice how there are Audi, BMW, M-B, and VW lemon sites, but no Lexus or Infiniti lemon sites? Edmunds and VW Vortex message boards have shown a lot of dissatisfaction with VW/Audi's service policies, word got around, and VW/Audi started to change their ways. It's all for the greater good.
That said, I found it in incredibly poor taste to post the URL when our friend here is sharing the pride and joy of his new car. What do you have against him that you have to rain on his parade?

You decided on the purchase of the TT Roadster after spending time around the RX-8.
What were the items that you saw which contributed to your decision?
Well, I kind of went into this in another thread, but ok: There was not so much "wrong" with the RX-8. It was just not as overall impressive to me as I thought it would be. It kind of looked the same as it does in all of the pictures. I know that sounds like an obvious statement, but I kept hearing from everyone that "OMG, it looks soooo much better in person!" and it just didn't stike me that way. Beleive me, it IS nice as hell. I still sometimes think that maybe I should have waited for the RX-8... But let me tell you, everytime I get in my TT and depress the go pedal and feel the turbo kick in at 3k rpm and I get pressed back into the leather seats, I can't help but forget all about the RX-8 or any other car. :p

Enjoy your new car. Hope you have tons of fun with it. (Now please change your avatar to something more fitting. )

hehe... well nice car man.. it looks nice. Just asking out of curiousity.
Ok...
1)No, I am definetly modding it. Planning on Chip, DV Valve, Exhaust, Boost guage and reinforced turbo hoses for starters. Witht those mods I figure I should be around low 14's to high 13's in the quarter.
2)I may have impressed some chicks with it, but I wouldn't know. I'm married.
3)I have raced my friends 84 Mustang 5.0. His car is pretty much stock except for the exhaust. We were just about dead even. I pulled on him maybe 1/2 a car length at the end.
4)I have not pushed the handling to the limits yet as it's not real safe to do it on the street and I have not had a chance to go to the track yet.
Man am I jeolous of you. I love the Audi TT, I can't wait until the NY Auto Show next week, I am going just to see the Audi TT 3.2 and the Mazda RX-8. But I had made plans for months to see it for the TT 3.2
Well 10 days to go until I got to the Javaits center :D
I am about 4 to 5 months away until I purchase my next car and I still am not sure what to get a lot of great choices out their thats for sure - RX-8, 350z, TT 3.2. Ahhh choices choices

Thanks man... I am planning on posting some pics of the interior after I get it detailed this weekend. I also have new clutch/gas/brake pedals on the way. Along with a brushed aluminum tag frame. I will post them soon...
