I was goofing around on Youtube last night when I came across this:

I can only assume from the "write-up" that this is our resident sapphic avatar sporting, mathematically inclined misanthrope, and frequently exasperated turbo guru. Pretty impressive to build an electric car at all, but to kill a Viper at the strip with one is off the charts.

PS: I did my due diligence in searching for this video elsewhere on the forum before posting... so if it is a repost, just try to enjoy it a second time.

Electric drive is pretty cool stuff.

Maybe one day I might even invite the maniac over to visit our Durango Road facility to see what 2000HP electric vehicle drivetrain looks like.

Thanks for the link Demon... I guess you are right... On looking back, at the clip it says "Maniac Mazda" in the write up. I was being dyslexic. It is still very cool (I liked the picks where they were running without the wheelie bars)... But it would have been cooler if it had been a forum member.

And to Renesis... Yes... I like the Tesla very much (except for the price tag)... but I was a little more impressed by this since it is all done by a small group of EV fans rather than a corporation. Also... I'm pretty sure that RX-7 is much faster than any production Teslas are or will be.
