If You Were to Trade In Your RX8, What Would You Get?
Okay, don't bash me for asking this crazy question, but I've seen a lot of threads on people wanting/thinking of getting rid of their 8 for something else. So I'm just curious what would you get if you were to trade or sell your RX8 (not that you would of course) :D
My Two Choices:
(1) Audi S4 2005
(2) Infiniti G35 Coupe 2005
I've set up a pole of what I think would be the top 10 choices. Feel free to list out what I've missed. :p

Traded my 8 last week for M3. Great car but miss the shifter of 8 which was excellent. However everything about the M3 is so robust gives feeling of being harder to break than more delicate feeling 8. Got $23,000 for 8 on trade in which was not bad considering local dealer(Long Beach Mazda) is discounting all 2004s $5,000. I am going to miss the 8 but the M3 is more bullet proof IMO. Hated to go back into debt but......

Trying to get my hands on a 1984 Porsche 911 Cab. I found some on eBay for $3,000, but they're all the way up north, and probably not worth it. If it were a new car, I'll go with the EVO MR.

If money was no object, it would be the M3. However I choose on what I would be able to afford, so I chose the Infiniti G35 Coupe 2005.
If I was going "cheap", I would choose the new Mustang. Love the sound of that V8.

Dodge Magnum R/T.
I am a musclehead at heart, and the torquey, powerful V8 of that Magnum, plus room for me and my friends golf clubs, bowling *****, power tools, etc, makes the magnum a very appealing choice to me. That is, until I get in my '8......

2004 Mustang Cobra convertible. Sweet deals now, since there is no 2005 model.
I got mine for 32K. You can get a coupe for under 29K. People who say they are only for straight line power haven't driven one. It's faster and more stable in a high speed sweeper than my 8 was. Better stereo and A/C too. I love it.

I'd trade it for another 8!! I don't have my 8 yet, but there's not really another car in that price range that I'd want to trade to. I think Shelleys man has the right idea with the Evo MR, beautiful car but I like the 8 more Who knows. How about we make a thread about who has traded in their 8 and what they got? I know ER doc got the cobra, so who else?

cobra's are very nice inded, my friend up here just left state, but had a ncie blue one. Cobra's and rotaries have the sweetest notes in the world IMO. His had "some stuff" done to it, was running 11's. tried Auto-xing once didn't do too bad actually.
I'd be interested in that therad of "What did you trade your 8 in for?"

I've actually been thinking about selling my 8, but everytime I drive her, I change my mind. I'm looking at the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.7 Hemi.

None of the cars in your poll. I could have easily bought any one of those, but chose the RX-8.
I'm very happy with the RX-8 and have no urge to trade for anything at this time. But in the future (say 3-5 years out), these cars have my interest:
- Mazdaspeed RX-8
- 4th gen RX-7 (if they ever make it)
- new e90 BMW M3 sedan
- C6 Corvette Z06
- 997 Porsche 911 type S **this is the one I'm really saving for:D
- new Porsche Boxster Coupe type S
(suppose to be lighter and cheaper than the Boxster rag top)
One of the above will most likely be my next car.
