2006 Dodge Charger
It's coming soon...It's gonna be one powerful S.O.B. designs are still in prototype but it's basically a dodge magnum without the Wagon part, There are many differant versions and the most powerful is a 426HP Hemi 6.4L V-8. IS THAT INSANE OR WHAT???!!! Read it in a Car & Driver mag today. about to go to thier website to check it out.

That is ultra weak. You want to bring back a name like the charger you bring it back with some purpose. Dont just give the 300c a dodge facelift. FOR SHAME! I would rather they put some time into it, and made a mustang GT competitor. This is just a typical yankee bloated car with displacement instead of inginuity as it's claim to fame.

The original Charger was a pretty big car, so it's okay that this one is too...but it would be better if it were:
* a 2-door
or
* a "disguised" 4-door (see the original Charger concept before Chrysler was bought out by the Krauts)
or
*not an obviously riced-out 300C (a car I like btw)
or
*at least not so butt-freakin-ugly, it has such a big honking pig-snout in that illustration, ugh.
Or go ahead and sell this eyesore, but just call it "Intrepid".
What they really need to do is bring back a Barracuda that's worthy of the name.

I am really not liking the way Dodge is taking their new vehicles. Chrysler and Dodge are just too hand in hand right now. Also, I am getting tired of the whole "hemi" craze. I read somewhere that the new "Hemi" engines don't even have hemispherical heads, they are pentagonal. If this is true, why do they even deserve to be called a "hemi" then?

^^^ Yes, THAT is what Chrysler should be building. It's a bigass four door car, but you wouldn't really think it at first glance.
Well if we really want to be literalists, the original Hemi wasn't a "true" Hemi. Meaning it wasn't a perfect sphere cut in half type of shape. Basically it seems that "Hemi" has grown to mean "opposed valve pushrod engine". As opposed to the side-by-side pushrod LS1, or the opposed valve Ford modular engines. "Hemi" is one syllable though. And to be really accurate, rotary engines are not, in fact, rotary. A more accurate term would probably be "orbital".

i dunno, i think they're betraying some of the greatest lines that made The Charger a Charger (and a muscle car a muscle car... big black grille from headlight to headlight, long *** hood, sweeping fast back, aggressive forward rake of the nose, etc etc)

Yes, yes...and we all know the original designer was a huge fan of aerodynamics. (unfortunately, he didn’t have a clue about aerodynamics) I like the concept design better, but I think they should be able to find a happy medium between the original design and this concept. I’d like to see the long sloping rear glass, the center counsel that runs the whole length, a big hood, some sort of flip style headlights. I think they can modernize the old design, shrink it down a little…maybe do a 4 door like the RX-8.

i figured it was just a matter of time before they tarnished another classic name, except that this is the second time they've done it to the Charger, which by the way, the 1968-70 (?) models stood as the ONLY chrysler i'd ever buy willingly. And no ... I do not want to build a General Lee replica ...
