Fall Cruise 2011: LAST MINUTE route, Sunday Oct 2 only
For those with nothing to do today, you're welcome to join the cruise which starts at 2pm at Five Guys/Burger and ends in Milton, Ontario.
Cruise distance is 197 km, and will take about 3 - 4 hours to complete.
TODAY ONLY...
It's my friend's birthday from the RX7club forum, so right now there are 3 cars. We are going today at 2pm.
The route will take us to Hockley Valley ---> Forks of the credit (stop for coffee) ---> Badlands ---> Speyside sideroad 15 ---> over and around the Kelso niagara escarpment and ending in Milton, Ontario.
Reporting back from yesterday's trip, we lucked out and the rain stopped in the afternoon. We hit Hockley Valley, Forks of the Credit, Bad Lands, and Terra Cotta back roads...
We ran out of time for Speyside (sideroad 15), and instead went straight to Milton for some really good VIET PHO (large portions, reasonable pricing, good quality).
I gotta report back on this though, because I know there is a cruise by the West-enders on Oct 16..
Forks have added 2 new speed bumps on the eastern side of the road, which really slows down the pace of things down to a crawl going over the bump.
On a car like MazdaRX04 (Mike), you will not be able to go over it without scrapping...
Also they added speed bumps on Islington Ave. going north towards Kleinburg as well, real sucks...
Winston Churchill Rd. between Old Baseline heading south for about 5 km, is all mud/dirt/broken pavement
haha yeahh, just picked it up today, and the battery was dead, no start.
They ran around for like 30 minutes trying to find jump cables that weren't toasted or a charger so I could jump start the car. Not too impressed, but hey at least Mazda Headquarters approved the warranty work on the rear wheel well rust =D
