Last night, I revisited once again a sense of deja vu, not to mention being overcome by a soggy wave of nostalgia when I spied my old little red rocket last night. I knew it was mine, because the new owner has kept the RX8 specific plates. I saw it at about 6:40pm last night at the intersection of Latrobe and MacGregor Terraces in Bardon/Paddington.
I can only complement the young guy who bought it, because he got a great car which had been lovingly nurtured and nourished for each of its 100,000km. I thought it looked so red and shiny, and it confirmed in my mind that there is an optimal colour for each car, and red is it for the RX8. In the case of the 1-series coupe, it happens to be space grey metallic, which is what I chose of course.

Plenty of winning blue devotees (I prefer the rare darker blue myself) and I still reckon titanium grey makes the car look less boy racer/mid-life crisis (take your pick of those alternatives depending how old you are ).
Actually, I think the car looks best in black but I'd hate to own one. Too much effort.
Good to see you haven't lost the love though and I'm sure the new owner is fortunate to have a car that was well looked after (and never tracked).
You will miss the RX-8 labrat. I drove it first time in a month for a car wash and still love it to death.

Gave the car a wash and polish last weekend and it is looking like new again and it still turns heads where ever I go. Especially now that the car is lowered with 19" wheels. I also drives like a go cart with tein coil overs.
At the track everyone loves the twin flames from the exhaust.
I may be biased but I think black is the best colour for the car.
Big props to my Strato Blue It's a nice, deep colour and not too common. I agree RX8s look great in black and red and I love Copper Red (is that what it's called?).
For the 1 Series BMW, I love Sedona Red.. and they look awesome in white.
