No idea.

I worry about not having your car starting rather than having the DSC light.

Does the car crank?

Have you tried to push the car backward and turn the wheel a little and restart the car? Dunno what it will do but it is my gut feeling.

Question

Is it an auto and in park!!

No only say this cause a friend of mine called me saying that her car had broken down...it was 3 weeks old. She was trying to start it in Drive. I arrived told her to wait on the kerb shouted at the car and then it started! She thought I was amazing and couldn't believe that shouting could start a car.....yes she is blonde...but from a bottle...I explained what I had actually done...she has never done it again!

I would call Mazda....sounds like your computer is saying no to me...

Have you read your user manual? I remember it has a list of reasons for the DSC light blinking.

I tried looking for it in the manual. I eventually got it started... after $183 to RACV.

I also tried ringing MissyK but she didnt want to talk. Maybe i havent paid my membership dues. :p Ill get around to doing that some time.

I think it was a flat, but Im taking it in for service some time soon any how.

Thinking of that the Mazda Roadside Assist is only $80 per year. That I think is the one includes accommodation.

sounds like a dead battery maybe? dsc flashes after the battery is re-charged, then if u read the manual it says to turn the wheel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right to clear the dsc warning. happened to me once when i forgot to close the stupid trunk and didn't drive my car for a few weeks.

Not touchy, just a repetitive and honestly, very boring topic.

Thumbs up

Hi folks

My first post in ages ...

After leaving my 8 at the airport valet car park for 3 days I returned to a very sluggish sounding car .. that would crank slowly but not start.

The Valet guys had a jumper battery, car kicked to life perfectly - drove the 30 Ks home ... next morning, wouldnt start again ... rolled down driveway, clutch start .. the DSC and CHECK ENGINE lights are shining.

Staight to Mazda dealer - check everything out .. cant find faults .. but at least the lights arent on. (note .. spent about 1/2 hour with the car for FREE ) Yay McGrath Mazda at Liverpool NSW!.

That night .. wont start again. Call Mazda roadsde assist. 20 mins later we have a diagnosis of 'weak batt'. Luckily he has a new battery on board and replaces it for $130!

One thing .. he's gone when I realise the DSC lights flashing. Check the manual, and 2 mins later ... all good!

Moral - dont let the airport valet guys listen to my radio for 3 days (it was parked next to their office)

Cheers folks

Was getting concerned reading the story but the moral certainly explains everything. Hope you got stuck into them about it.
