surely with Mazda now announced as the event sponsor - there will be something happening to benefit us .
if the corvette club can drive the track - why not us?

 

they outnumber us, by about 50-1, at least. Last year, at the Petit there were a couple hundred vettes, and only about 7-8 of us. And, Mazda does not seem to care much about Owner enthusiasm, not quite like Chevy, BMW or some of the other marques that are always at road races. They don't do Mazda hospitality tents, or anythign of that sort.

I think that SilverEIGHT, TorqueAholic, and maybe a couple other folks here in Georgia and the Atlanta area are going. But I am not sure of their exact plans, since I am not going to make it this year.

 

I will be there Friday and Saturday.

I like the chicklits! and I love the Spiders also! Your close-up is a great shot. There were tooooooo many people down at the pre-race ceremony. I wanted to get good close-ups but I got tired of dealing with the crowds.

 

Wow..i was watching this ten hour race the other day. I spent ten hours drinking beer and eating doritos. Awesome.

 

Sorry I didn't make it out this year. Had full intention of going, then the plan just fell through. Looks like it was a great time. Nice shots fellas! Perhaps next year....
