View Full Version : Rx8 Kit
mbate23 08-31-2006, 05:06 PM This is an rx8 bodykit I designed and modelled. I like the back and the side skirts, I not so sure on the front though. Tell me what you think.

Apostle 08-31-2006, 05:20 PM I like the front and side, but not the back :)
honestly, i think it's hideous :(
The front is blocky/angular and doesnt really have any consistent lines other than the big rectangle mouth openning.
The sides are alright
The rear is far too busy.
It basically looks kinda like you crossed the veilside and NRF kits and came up with this...
romycha1 08-31-2006, 06:52 PM Kinda looks like an updated version those old Combat kits. Looks good... don't know if I would ever rock one though.
XDEEDUBBX 08-31-2006, 06:55 PM the playdoh body kit?
NgoRX8 08-31-2006, 07:11 PM dont like it... the front look distorted and i think the rear would look better without the black plastic on the sides.
rx8spiritR 08-31-2006, 10:44 PM i'll say it's very nice because I did see you have spend time to make me laugh
painter1 09-02-2006, 06:40 AM What program did you use to design this? How long did it take you?
mbate23 09-03-2006, 12:00 AM 3ds max, I made it last year when I had the chicken pox, then over the last 9 months I've been altering it.
I'll give it another go and see what I can come up with, I'll post something when I'm done
Moostafa29 09-03-2006, 03:04 AM Its cool that you spent the time on it, and designed it yourself, but honestly I hope to never see it on the street.
Mazdaspeed RX8 ver2 09-03-2006, 03:31 AM Its cool that you spent the time on it, and designed it yourself, but honestly I hope to never see it on the street.
i agree. You're highly creative though.
mbate23 09-04-2006, 03:31 AM Yeh, I understand now, it's hard at first after you've spent so much time on it to see what is wrong with it, but know I can see plently of things that I can change
MissyK 09-11-2006, 02:51 AM 2nd version looks nicer, the front
nice work tho, keep it up :)
mbate23 09-11-2006, 05:54 AM Should I change the side vents so that fog lights can fit in?
MissyK 09-11-2006, 06:39 AM well depends... maybe make it so that fog lights can put if they want, or left out, like the MS kit ??
Japan8 09-11-2006, 07:45 AM Maybe foglight mounting like the white prototype MS RX-8... http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=39&article_id=1935
The rear and sides... sides like the blue MS Concept RX-8.

The rear from that car is cool, but if you want to be more original... maybe something like the KENSTYLE kit... http://www.kenstyle.co.jp/usa/product/rx8.html
MissyK 09-11-2006, 09:09 PM looks pretty cool :)
Clavius 09-11-2006, 09:21 PM I like it soley on the creative side of things.
Personaly I'd make the mouth opening a bit smaller. Bring it down so it lines up with the lines of the bumber under the lights. Our luvly car has that 5mph bumber gaurd I recently found out so it would stick out with the opening.
Also on that MS 8 body kit that Japan showed.. the front bumber kinda looks like the current C6 which is kinda sweet looking hehe. Have they given the Go-Ahead yet on that kit?!
ac3mastuh 09-11-2006, 10:02 PM i like it
Japan8 09-11-2006, 10:14 PM Which MS 8 bodykit? The old white one? The blue MS Concept 8 from Tokyo Auto Salon? By your description it sounds like the blue one. I like it too... as do many other board members. I wish that Mazda would roll that one out.
Clavius 09-12-2006, 04:19 PM ^Japan the new blue one. Again just looks like the new Corvette, they definatly should come out with it.
