Why would anyone want to stay all the way over there?
I'm staying at the Doubletree Spectrum. I'll be able to look right at the entire SevenStock event from the window of my room and they are matching the
rate of the "official" hotel.

Better than being seven miles away looking over an airport.

Why would anyone want to stay all the way over there?
I'm staying at the Doubletree Spectrum. I'll be able to look right at the entire SevenStock event from the window of my room and their regular rate is only $10 more than that!

Better than being seven miles away looking over an airport.

Why? For the added convenience of an elevator ride to the social and banquet. The Doubletree is a great hotel and I'm sure your stay will be nice. Thanks for your input and see you at Sevenstock 9.

I guess that is cool if you plan on being really drunk at the banquet.
I prefer the option of shooting back to my room on foot during the event for a shower and a nap after I get all dirty detailing the car.
Also gives my wife the option of chilling when she gets bored...

Yep, the doubletree is a few hundred yards from MNAO. So is the Irvine Spectrum with almost unlimited things to do and eat. Trust me, your girlies will not be bored sitting around an industrial park this time around. ;)

Hmmm, I wonder if Ford's Premier Auto Group(Jag, Land Rover, Daimler, Volvo, etc) next door is going to steal a little of the spotlight with their products? FoMoCo owns the property.

Any Sunday Event? *cough*AutocrossElToroMarineBase*cough!* :D

Sunday?
Sunday is the "Zoom Zoom Live" in LA. That is where I'm headed.

The DoubleTree literally looks over the Mazda HQ building. I originally suggested that hotel purely on the merit of a near-by Starbucks!

^^ Uh, waited a little too long?
Try the good hotel (Doubletree Spectrum) instead of the official one. They offered RCCAZ/AZMC members a matched rate and they are just two blocks from Mazda.

Two blocks from Mazda and still have to wait in the same line as others to get in :)
Jokes! Doubletree is a nice Hotel and we tried.. but they could not accomodate our Banquet needs. If anyone is having trouble getting the SS rate at the Hilton please pm me. Thanks

^^ Yah! We are going to run a covert OP on the property, wiping out any security forces that stand in our way!

I find him relatively easy to ignore, though I cannot do so if he continues to attack my patriotism.

I was waiting to make sure I could go and I just got my reservations. They still have rooms in the hotel but not at the convention rate. Normal rate is 139 a night.

Great!

Or you can spend $43 for a Banquet ticket and the remaining $40 on raffle tickets. I'm such a salesman :)

We haven't booked a room yet but coming up from San Diego, it's not truly a necessity. However, since my daughter is coming along this year, we may do some shopping on Sunday. Does anyone know if both hotels are still offering special rates?
